Big Ed's Piano Gallery History
   About Us

Early Years
In March of 1983, David took a job as a piano mover/driver with 'The Piano Man' in Baltimore, Md. For the next three years, he learned the art of piano moving. As part of his duties there, he also learned how to buy pianos. He delivered many concert rentals, met many artists, and delivered 26 baby grand pianos to President Reagan's inauguration. Though it was a hard job, he fell in love with it.

D&E Begins
In 1986, with the help of his father, Dave purchased his first truck. He worked part time at 'The Piano Man' as well as delivering furniture and hauling freight. Then in 1987, the company that Eddie worked for was closing its doors and their father suggested that Dave and Eddie join forces. This was the beginning of D&E Movers. In 1991, the Baltimore Sun wrote an article about us.
In 1998, Eddie became a sales representative at a local piano dealer. He quickly rose to the title of sales manager. We worked almost exclusively with that piano dealer until 2006. During this time, our knowledge of the piano industry grew immensely.

Our Service
We knew that our goal was to become the best full service piano company in the country. During our 20 plus years of business, we have delivered 50,000 pianos for most companies in our region. After studying the competition, we have formulated a business to wow you our customer. We want to give our customers the best value in the industry. We give more for less without compromising quality. You ask how are we going to do that? We accomplish this by keeping overhead down and buying smart. We keep our cost down and we can sell for less.

In 2001, we went to school at 'QRS Music' in Seneca, PA and became certified Pianomation Installers. We have installed over 250 units. Like all the work we do, we do a first class installation.

Our Commitment
Our father was our mentor. He always told us to do every job as if you had to sign your name on it for the world to see. Take pride in it and if you cannot do it right do not do it at all. When you buy a piano from our company, we put our signature on it.

We surround ourselves with top-notch technicians and craftsman who have the same passion as we do for people. We are a full service piano company. We do repairs, refinishing, rebuilding, buying, selling, player installs, and tuning. If you need anything for a piano we can take care of it for you.

The bottom line is we are a FAMILY owned business and we promise to treat customers like OUR FAMILY!
